What WordShield is
WordShield (词盾) is a portable Windows application that automatically saves every prompt you type into any AI application, so you never have to rewrite one you already got working. It runs in the background, watches the input control you are typing into, and writes the finished text to a local SQLite database on your own PC.
There is no account to create, no cloud to sync to, and no subscription to renew. The app makes zero network requests. If you block the executable in your firewall, every feature keeps working — that is the whole design.
One promise: your prompts are never lost
Not "synced somewhere safer". Not "processed to improve our service". Saved, on your disk, where you can open the file and read it yourself.

Why it is sold as a one-time license
Almost every tool in this category is a monthly subscription. A utility that sits quietly in the background and owns a growing archive of your own words should not stop working because a card expired. WordShield is therefore sold as an annual plan or a lifetime one-time payment, and the free tier limits how many prompts are visible — it never deletes anything you captured.
Who builds it
WordShield is built independently, without outside funding. That is why the product can afford to have no telemetry, no ads and no growth hacks: the only thing that has to work is the software.
